Self-awareness by definition

conscious knowledge of one's own character, feelings, motives, and desires

Self-awareness, in terms of spirituality, is the state of recognizing your true feelings and energies vs. outside feelings and energies of others and using that awareness or knowledge of self to help you make the best choices for yourself to achieve a true state of bliss and success.
Self awareness helps you to align within. Once that happens you rise to a new level of thought and being. You see and hear from a different perspective. This allows you to make clear and meaningful choices that better serve you. It allows you to push out toxicity and take in positivity. You attract what you hold inside. As above so below.
1.) Check in with yourself
How do you feel today. Are the choices I am making serving me or someone else. Observe your thoughts. Imagine being on the sideline of the thoughts in your mind. Observe and watch them, don't be them. Like the old saying goes... "you are not your thoughts." Checking in with yourself and being aware of your thoughts and feelings is one of the most important steps. Check out the quick video below.
2.) Be mindful of the energy people bring around you.
Do the people you surround yourself with lift you up or bring your down in their presence. We can all sense a mood change. Be mindful of when this happens. That “knowing” is the awareness. Use this awareness to remove that negative energy from your life to make way for more positive energy. Listen to Evans talk about the 'Crabs in a barrel" analogy below.
3.Know yourself (it takes practice)
Self-awareness takes practice. In today’s society we move so fast. Sometimes without even thinking. Be aware of your thoughts. Are they positive or negative. Negative thoughts attract negative reactions. Positive thoughts attract positive reactions. Be mindful of how you feel. Actively get to know yourself from the inside out. When you know yourself, you know your strengths and weaknesses. Once aware of your strengths, play on them and fuck your weaknesses. Truly getting to know yourself is one of the hardest yet most humbling things you can do to be self-aware. Be mindful and ask yourself solid questions everyday in the mirror. Asking yourself these questions calls attention to yourself and raises your awareness.
Ask yourself...and be honest
How do I feel today?
What do I want to accomplish today or this week?
Who am I going going to see today and how do they make me feel when I’m around them?
Are the choices I’m making today going to make me feel better about myself or worse?
Are the choices I am going to make today serving my higher good or will they bring me down and away from my goals?
What are my strengths?
What are my weaknesses?
Self awareness is truly understanding and knowing who you are. This allows you to make the best choices to serve your higher good.
